We are delighted to confirm that the next twinning visit by our good friends from Voiron will be Thursday 27th April to Monday 1st May 2017.
Details will be circulated in due course but in the meantime, here’s an outline of the planned activities.
Thursday 27th April 17:30 – 18.30 Arrival of visitors and all are invited to a short reception with drinks and nibbles at Sacred Heart church hall.
Dinner with hosts.
Friday 28th April Full-day trip to the Black Country Living Museum: a 63-seater coach has been booked, but thanks to a couple of volunteer drivers, we can cater for up to around 70 people. If people wish to take the canal trip whilst there, this should be booked individually.
Saturday 29th April A day free with your visitors. In the evening we shall have a simple supper at Elmbridge Village Hall and introduce our French visitors to the esoteric delights of an English Beetle drive and other such amusements! (Anyone know what “two fat ladies” or “legs 11″is in French?)
Sunday 30th April 7pm for 7.30 A 3-course carvery dinner at Holt Fleet, with a choice of starters and puddings. We expect a minimum of 50 people for this, and will have the benefit of the dining room with the terrace at Holt Fleet, so it shoud be very pleasant.
Monday 1st May Visitors return to Voiron.
